Why profiles get hidden

WhatsApp privacy has three levels for profile photo, last seen, and status: Everyone, My Contacts, and Nobody. If you can't see a DP, one of those is blocking you — usually they removed you or tightened settings. This is by design and can't be reversed from your side.
